What was your dream job when you were younger? Did you ever think you would start your own business?

I wanted to be an artist and I always knew I wanted create something with my hands, I used to collect things like empty loo roll holders and pipe cleaners and create things out of them.

In your own words why did you start Rock & Raw Jewellery?

I was in a yoga class, in savasana and a feeling passed over me and I just knew that this is what my purpose was. Two weeks later I gave up my job as a lawyer and started Rock and Raw and have never looked back.

What has been your proudest moment so far?

Creating a nurtured team who support and elevate each other.

Tell us more about your previous career and how it has helped to shape your business today.

I used to be a lawyer working for a company where I met my husband. Without his incredible support I wouldn’t have been able to start up Rock and Raw Jewellery. It made me grateful every day to do something that is creatively fulfilling and aligned with the person that I am.

What is your favourite crystal and why?

Amethyst is the sidekick of transformation and healing. We source the finest amethyst on the planet, the kind most people won’t have seen. It’s completely clear and inclusion free.

If you could own one item of jewellery from past or present what would it be and why?

I genuinely only wear Rock & Raw so it would be one of our new pieces from the Aura range, coming in September.

How do you ensure you always stay true to your core?

Daily meditation, I have a very strong sense of intuition and I trust it unwaveringly.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Creating a space in the world where people can feel nurtured and supported.

What would you say to young women who want to start their own business?

Follow your heart, do something you love even if it seems unrealistic.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

Trust yourself.

What is your earliest ‘wellness’ memory?

I came to wellness late in life, starting with a Yin yoga class at the age of 28!

What is the best ‘wellness’ tip you have ever been given?

Take care of your energy first.

What does ‘wellness’ mean to you?

Being aligned with yourself, connected and centred.

What are some of your favourite ‘wellness’ discoveries?

Ooo I love this question, yoga has changed my life, I love the new meditation studio Remind, and bodywork is an essential part of my week (massage etc).

Everyone practices yoga/Pilates for different reasons. When did you start and why?

I was going through a rough time personally and walked past my local yoga centre and felt calm seeping out of it. It was such a beautiful zen space I just wanted to be in it.

Favourite yoga/Pilates pose and why?

Headstand-I love turning things upside down. You see life form a different perspective and it enhances creativity.

Mindfulness or Meditation?

Meditation-all the way. I love being able to journey and visualise through things I am feeling

What do you do in your downtime?

A lot of yoga, hang with my cats and my amazing husband. I have recently started gardening, we have two tiny window boxes but I love it. I also love pottering, wondering around my house moving things around.

Where do you go to ground yourself?

I am an airy person so I need a lot of grounding, my favourites are yoga, walking on the grass, making tea slowly, having an early night, patting my cat.

What are your favourite London hotspots?

Bhuti for yoga, treatments and also our only London Stockist! Remind for meditation, the Astrology Shop for crystals, Wild Foods for eating out and Kew Gardens.

Where is your favourite place in the world?

Tuscany. I recently visited Tuscany and fell in love with it. It is quiet peaceful and historic – all the things that I love.

What are three things you can’t live without?

My husband, my cats, my brother and sister and my two best friends Hermione and Lucy

What is your quote of the day every day?

Its more a mantra but ‘I take care of my energy first’.

What is your single piece of advice to the next generation of women?

Know you are worthy.

Who is your ‘Wow Woman’?

Rachel Brathen-yoga girl. Unafraid, authentically herself, balancing motherhood and boss hood like a pro!

If you could only live in one item of Asquith clothing what would it be?

I can’t pick one. The Jumpsuit is insane. I love it but I also love the Long Harem Bamboo Yoga Pants that I wear all the time. I get so many comments on those.
