Asquith Adores Nominee - Fushi

Asquith Adores Nominee - Fushi

Introducing Fushi. Pure, ethical, sustainably made skincare that gives back and a nominee in the beauty category of the Asquith Adores Awards. We sat down with the team at Fushi to find out a little more about their products and why we think you should vote for them.

Can you tell us how/why you started your brand?

At the point of start-up, the idea is always born from something you are passionate about and for us it was natural remedies and creating something that imbibed our passion for holistic health. As the business grows, you tend to expand organically into other areas, which is why we have now ventured into beauty with our new BioVedic® skincare range, which launched earlier this year. We also wanted more people to benefit from natural remedies for their wellbeing as we felt so strongly about how effective these remedies were.

We pride ourselves on making super soft ethical yoga clothes, if your brand had to be remembered for one thing, what would it be and why?

We really are diligent with the quality and purity of the ingredients that we source. We are known to deliver qualitative products at very affordable prices and this is something we take pride in. Offering the best we can source and create at fair ethical prices.

How do you ensure you stay on top of ethical/eco trends and ensure your brand is moving in the right direction as it constantly evolves?

We have always measured our success as a company by the impact we have on the environment. Since our inception in 2008 this has always been important for us. The Fushi ethos closely reflects our personal values, so whenever we feel strongly about things and hear of new trends such as the zero waste concept, we implement these as our company really is an extension of our own ethics and it makes sense to practise what we preach in a sense.

If you could share one tip for someone who wants to live more ethically and sustainably in 2019 what would it be and why?

I would say be mindful of what you buy, try and reduce your plastic purchases as every bit of plastic ever made still exists somewhere and that’s a scary thought! So being conscious and wasting less.

What is your favourite product and why?

It has to be our Really Good Hair Oil, inspired by my grandmother’s recipe, which is one of our best sellers and truly one that brings back a lot of memories for me. So it makes it even nicer to know our customers love it too!

And finally, is there anything you would like to share with our readers?

That I love yoga too and believe this has been the one thing that has sustained me through my highs and lows. It helps me connect with my inner self and find that sense of calm which is truly something I treasure! .
