Can you tell us how/why you started your brand?

For many years, I enjoyed reading the blogs of other inspirational souls and admired their work. As I got more involved in Instagram, I felt inspired to create a space online that portrayed my thoughts, feelings and opinions on things that I deem or would find interesting to others. The Kind Life is my blog that covers vegan living, cruelty-free beauty, low waste, some plant-based recipes, travel tips as well as women’s health. The idea behind The Kind Life is to help others make conscious decisions to live a life of more compassion and kindness.

We pride ourselves on making super soft ethical yoga clothes, if your brand had to be remembered for one thing, what would it be and why?

More than anything I would like my work and my personal self to be remembered as being real, raw and authentic. I love nothing more than helping people and leading them to make innovative changes in their life, whether that be lifestyle choices, like veganism, supporting ethical fashion or partaking in activism. I am always honest in what I choose to support, I strongly believe we need to have a world with more kindness so whenever I’m creating a blog post or content on my Youtube or Instagram, I try to radiate positivity, love and understanding no matter the topic.

How do you ensure you stay on top of ethical/eco trends and ensure your brand is moving in the right direction as it constantly evolves?

I’ve always been aware of how powerful the internet is and what detriment false information can cause. Sustainability, low waste and living vegan has been a part of my life for over three years, so keeping up to date with trends and news is something I naturally dedicate time to because I enjoy learning, spreading the message and evolving.

If you could share one tip for someone who wants to live more ethically and sustainably in 2019 what would it be and why?

Implement one change. Change is powerful and the action you choose does not need to be big one to make a difference. As an individual, we’ve all at some time felt pressure to do our part, the constant need to being doing more, Whilst no one wants to feel nagged at, it’s important to remember that the planet doesn’t require perfection, it requires change and for us to do better than what we have been doing or once were doing.

Implementing one change in your lifestyle can start the snowball affect for other changes. For me, it was choosing food and beauty choices where animals did not suffer. Before I knew it, I then made the conscious decision to only invest in ethical clothing where I knew people were being treated fairly, earning a fair wage and were not exploited. Changes like these take time, enjoy the process!

What is the most important thing you have learnt about the planet and why?

The most important thing I learnt is that you as an individual hold a lot of power to implement change. It’s easy to doubt your own abilities, your own voice and how your presence can influence others. It’s easy to be discouraged believing your way of living or changes you’ve made won’t make a difference, but of course they will! With the power of social media, it’s impossible to measure whom you’ve impacted and influenced however, if you keep doing what sets your heart on fire, your tribe will follow.

And finally, is there anything you would like to share with our readers?

I’d just like to reiterate that I’m a super friendly soul! I generate content for the soul purpose to inspire others and connect with new people. I always respond to my direct messages and comments. If you’d like to chat or ask me anything, I’d be only too happy to hear from you and connect.
