Asquith Adores Nominee - Evolve Beauty

Asquith Adores Nominee - Evolve Beauty

Introducing Evolve Beauty. A Hertfordshire based skincare brand and nominee in the beauty category of the Asquith Adores Awards. Evolve makes all of their organic products by hand in small batches so they are fresh, natural and so much better for your skin.

Can you tell us how/why you started your brand?

After graduating from Harvard Business school, I helped to set up a brand called NUDE, which was another natural beauty brand and I absolutely loved being part of the clean beauty revolution. This experience really gave me the confidence I needed to branch out on my own and follow my passion for organic beauty, which is how Evolve Beauty came about.

We pride ourselves on making super soft ethical yoga clothes, if your brand had to be remembered for one thing, what would it be and why?

I’d love for our brand to be remembered for the quality and luxurious feel of our products, because even though we choose to use natural and organic ingredients over synthetic man-made alternatives, we’re proud that our products never compromise on quality.

How do you ensure you stay on top of ethical/eco trends and ensure your brand is moving in the right direction as it constantly evolves?

We try to ensure that we’re moving in the right direction towards being more ethical and sustainable by first admitting that we’re not perfect and there’s definitely ways in which we can develop and grow. We’re constantly looking into new ideas and of course listening to our customers feedback so that we can make our products as eco-friendly as possible. We’ve recently created an option on the website where you can order a product without a pump because our customers were super keen to purchase less plastic and we’re also currently working on ideas for a refill scheme!

If you could share one tip for someone who wants to live more ethically and sustainably in 2019 what would it be and why?

I think one way to live more ethically and sustainably would be to practice ‘slow beauty’, which means not buying more products than you need and making sure you take the time to really appreciate the different scents and texture as you enjoy using your products. It also means researching into where you purchase your products from to ensure that they’re from ethical and sustainable sources and then once you’ve finished the product you recycle the packaging, so as to limit the products impact on the environment.

What is your favourite product and why?

This is such a hard question because I love them all! But I think I’d have to say the Gentle Cleansing Melt because it’s probably the one I use most often. I use it twice a day to freshen up in the morning and to give myself a relaxing facial massage in the evening as I remove my makeup and get ready for bed.

And finally, is there anything you would like to share with our readers?
