Can you recommend a fiction book for those heading off for some winter sun?

''My Year Of Rest & Relaxation'' by Ottessa Moshfegh. The story of a dysfunctional woman living in New York who has everything but yet has nothing.

What fiction book is next on your reading list?

''Convenience Store Woman'' by Sayaka Murata.

Favourite fiction book of all time?

Impossible to say or remember! I don’t have one favourite but I LOVED, ''We Need To Talk About Kevin'' by Lionel Shriver. It absorbed and terrified me.

I have two young children so didn't get to read a lot when I was on my summer holiday this year, I ambitiously took four books and read one! That book was Elizabeth Gilbert's "City Of Girls", set in 1940s Manhattan, which I really enjoyed. There are showgirls, wild nights and plenty of glamour, but it also explores relationships (often complicated and between women) and the power of friendship.

What fiction book is next on your reading list?

"A Gentleman In Moscow" by Amor Towles. Not the sort of book I would normally go for but a friend's mother (who reads about 100 books a year!) highly recommended it and said that everyone she knows who has read it loves it too, so giving it a go!

Favourite fiction book of all time?

"A Little Life" by Hanya Yanagihara, one of two books to have made me cry. Harrowing in places but so beautifully written. And "The Magic Faraway Tree" by Enid Blyton. My daughter is just getting to the age where I think I can read this as a bedtime story. My dad read it to me so looking forward to starting a little tradition.

I have just finished the latest Stephen King, again not particularly light reading but if you like a supernatural thriller “The Outsider” is classic King

What fiction book is next on your reading list?

I am toying with the latest Margaret Atwood sequel “The Testaments” although I haven’t read “The Handmaids Tale.” I have seen the TV series though so not sure I need to?

Favourite fiction book of all time?

Such a tough one but with the film out currently it has reminded me how utterly brilliant ''The Goldfinch'' by Donna Tartt . I LOVED it.

''The Beach'' is a classic although if you're heading to Thailand don't get freaked out.

What fiction book is next on your reading list?

Next up on my list is "The Light Between Oceans'', apparently it's a real tear jerker and I have been recommended to read it before I watch the film.

Favourite fiction book of all time?

Bond. James Bond. There's nothing better than a little bit of 007. Start with ''Casino Royale'' and read them in order to get the full Ian Fleming experience.

Tricky to choose “of all time” but I enjoyed ''Any Human Heart'' by William Boyd.
